In May 2024 Trough launched at Chew’s Yard, in Preston.

It has always been an ambition of ours to evolve our ethos and values of provenance, established through founding Goosnargh Gin in 2018, into a broader food and drink offer.

Trough is passionate about celebrating and sharing true craftsmanship, exceptional produce and championing independence.

Chew’s Yard is an exciting, unique food and drink venue and event space, enveloped by a hidden walled courtyard garden, right in the city centre of Preston.

As well as serving our gins, spritzes and bespoke cocktails there, we also have a food menu which champions outstanding local, northern and independent producers and suppliers.

In 2025 Trough has continued to evolve, introducing Trough at the Distillery, Trough Nomadic Pantry and Kitchen and Trough Gatherings.

Each path allows us to continue Trough’s founding principles through events, collaboration and a celebration of independence. It allows you to live life a little slower for a while and connect with experiences the Trough way.
